On May 25th of 2008 Jim Groom , an instructional technologist at Mary Washington University, wrote an article in his bavatuesdays blog in which he coined the term 'Edupunk' In doing so he inadvertently gave the collective conversation on learning a way to address the loose federation of Instructional technologists who either push the learning envelope or inspire others to do so. These are some of people I think of as poster-children for Edupunk. -chaz maloney
